This was the winning entry in our Dodder Action photography competition - Congratulations Robert O’Leary.

At the Dodder Action AGM on May 10th 2021, our Chair Kevin Dennehy gave an account of a dynamic and challenging year of activities 2020 and plans for expansion in 2021.

Due to COVID-19, Dodder Action curtailed most of its activities for the year 2020. Social distancing guidelines made group clean-ups impossible for most of the year, but many members still got out on a regular basis to clean the river on their own and start Citizen Science observation, reporting and water testing. Interesting projects were progressed on Milltown Biodiversity, on Killinarden-Jobstown re-engagement and wildlife spotting, on Photography, schools workshops, University research collaborations, official development submissions and advocacy.

We hit a small milestone in getting Dodder Action registered as a CLG on October 9th 2020 and will be focusing this year on preparing to get registered as a charitable body.

Chair Kevin Dennehy, Secretary Keith Scanlon and Treasurer Caragh Coote were all re-elected.

The attached Annual Report gives a brief overview of our activities in 2020.
